The same text the app shows, where it is version v5.

This explains what Loamcrew holds about you, why, and who else sees it. It is deliberately specific, because a good part of what it holds is about children.

What is collected

To have an account: your name, e-mail address and date of birth. The date of birth is used for one thing — working out whether an account belongs to a minor, which decides whether a guardian has to consent and whether certain features are restricted.

To be on a team's roster: a phone number, and an emergency contact with their phone number. These are optional, and they are entered either by you or by a coach. Coaches and admins of that team can see them.

Because you use it: the messages you send, the photos and videos you upload, which messages you have read, your reactions, the rides you say you are coming to, and attendance once a ride has happened.

Because the law expects a record: which documents you agreed to and when, and a log of significant actions taken on an account.

If you contact support: what you wrote, and — if you used the bug button — a screenshot of your own screen at that moment.

Who else sees it

Loamcrew does not sell anything about you, and does not advertise.

Loamcrew uses third-party hosting and platform services to operate. These services only process data for the sole purpose of operating the Loamcrew app and securing its functionalities.

One of them is worth naming, because it is the only case where what you write leaves Loamcrew: the short "recent discussions" summary on a team overview is written by Google's Gemini. The display names and text of up to ten recent messages are sent for it — no photos, no contact details. Loamcrew pays for that service, and the paid terms exclude using what is sent to train Google's models.

Children

An account belonging to someone under 18 is linked to at least one parent or guardian, who agrees to these documents on the child's behalf and can see and change what is held about them. A child is never recorded as having given consent themselves.

Keeping and deleting

You can delete your account from Profile → Account. When you do:

This cannot be undone. Consent records and the action log are kept, with your identity scrubbed, because their entire purpose is to be able to show what was agreed and when.

Your rights

You can see and correct what is held about you from inside the app, and delete it as above. If you want a copy of it, or want something removed that the app will not let you remove yourself, write to privacy@loamcrew.com. A guardian can do any of this on behalf of a child they are linked to.

The data controller for Loamcrew is Laszlo Juracz, reachable at privacy@loamcrew.com.
